A convoy of 14 canal boats, Landscape Architecture students across all levels, 4 days, 1 Canal... how long can they last? A test of our survival skills (even though there were shops and pubs alongside the canal), living the canal life wasn't as easy as it may have seemed, but nonetheless, still an experience. As we made our own way along the canals of Guildford, through the massive locks, at a terrifying speed of 2 miles an hour, we were in for a journey and a half. Beautiful scenery, fresh air, crystal clear water (lol), alcohol, and a viking from the far east. What better way to spend your time?

The Eden Project - Cornwall
July 2008,
I paid a visit to the Eden Project in Cornwall but had no idea i was in for an exploration of a preserved world full of tropical, environmental, and self sustainable cornish delight. Above are some of the photos i liked best, you can see the 'Domes' that preserve the tropical rainforest on one side and the Mediterranean on the other. I had no idea anything like this even existed, but it is definitely the right step forward in preserving and saving the beauty of this world somewhere. As i ventured my way around this wondrous landscape, all i could do was be amazed at this utopia.
Waterman's Park Animation
Not too sure why the animations have come out fast forwarded, but i suppose you can still see what ive done. Maybe if you spam the play/pause button every few seconds you could slow it down a bit? i dont know, its up to you :P Here is a small animation i did for our waterman's park site. Enjoy.
Animation
This was my first real attempt at making an animation on Photoshop. Took me quite a while to learn how to do it (may seem as easy as urine to most of you, but i assure you, you all were at my level at some point). Nobody was really willing to show me how to make an animation first hand, so i learnt off youtube. :)
Mo caught on candid camera
Mohammed got slightly sidetracked during the blindfolded and deafened exercise. He wandered into the playground. It seems he found himself there.
Waterman's Park, Brentford Biopsy, and Christian Nold
An arranged workshop at the Waterman's art center was in store for Landscape level 1 on the 8th of May. A series of processes and analytical mapping (emotion mapping) took place, as half the group was wired up to a device that detects their emotional response to an area as he/she walks around it, and the other half was blindfolded and deafened and told to strengthen their other senses (touch and smell) to analyze a site that they are already familiar with. This brought out some interesting results as people discovered more about the site, and themselves that they hadnt known before.
